How to set up Wattion
Get your cloud solar battery and optional EV charger working together in four steps. Perfect for Octopus Intelligent and fixed-price charging plans.
What you need
A supported cloud inverter (FoxESS, GivEnergy, or AlphaESS monitoring) and optionally an Ohme or GivEnergy EV charger. No extra hardware.

Sign up with your email to get started. Wattion is free to use and your credentials are stored securely.
Sign upConnect your devices
In Settings, connect a supported cloud inverter and optional EV charger using the credentials from that provider’s owner portal. You can also add an optional Axle VPP API key.
Where to get these
Inverter credentials
FoxESS: from foxesscloud.com, open User Profile then API Management. GivEnergy: create an API token in GivEnergy Cloud (Premium required). AlphaESS: create AppID and AppSecret on the Open Platform. Paste the values into Settings.
Charger credentials
Ohme: use the same email and password as the Ohme app. If you sign in with a social account, set a password first in the Ohme app Settings → Add a password. GivEnergy chargers use a Cloud API token with EV charger scopes.
Axle VPP API key (optional)
From Axle Home Assistant integration docs: generate your Home Assistant token, then paste it into the Axle VPP field in Settings to enable export-event awareness.
Set your default schedule
Configure when your battery can charge and discharge on the Schedule page. This is used when your EV is not charging.
Open ScheduleCheck your dashboard
View live status, savings, and history. The battery manager runs every 10 minutes to keep your schedule in sync.
